Description
This series takes inspiration from living with my grandparents who spent time in the Japanese internment camps, and observing their unique ways of choosing what to preserve vs forget, both physical and emotional. Dry cleaning is both an act of cleansing and preserving the things we find precious. This piece emerged between my own purging and archiving, emotional hoarding, and attempts to decide what gets to stay and what we must let go.
