Description
As a multiracial person, these doors serve as symbols of the two worlds I cannot fully enter into. Thinking about confronting oppositional binaries, the emphasis of this piece lies in the negative space between two doors. The act of physically peering into the peepholes on the doors which read, “neither here,” “nor there,” reinforce the viewer’s position as a foreigner, oscillating between two inacessible worlds.
